Collector FAQ
How are original drawings framed?
Every work on paper comes completely finished, hand-framed by me, and ready to hang. I treat the frame and matting board as a non-negotiable extension of the artwork itself to perfectly complement each piece. Because these are pre-framed by me, frame styles and colors cannot be customized or swapped.
Are the edges of the canvases painted?
Yes, all of my paintings feature fully finished edges that complement the color palette of the piece. They look beautiful hanging directly on your wall as-is if you choose not to frame them.
How will my artwork be packaged and shipped?
All original paintings and drawings are meticulously packed by hand in my studio to ensure they arrive in pristine condition. Artworks are securely wrapped in protective, art-safe materials to safeguard the surface, securely cushioned, and shipped inside heavy-duty packaging. Your order will ship completely ready to hang (paintings remain fully stretched on their wooden bars), and you will receive a tracking number via email the moment your package leaves the studio.
Is the framing safe for shipping transit?
Yes. To ensure your original drawing arrives safely, all artworks purchased online are shipped with premium, shatter-resistant gallery acrylic fronts rather than heavy, fragile standard glass. This guarantees the piece stays lightweight and securely protected against breakage during its postal journey.
(Note: Artworks purchased in person at my Los Angeles art markets may feature real glass fronts, as they bypass the postal system and can be carried home safely by hand.)
Do you offer local pickup or delivery in Los Angeles?
Yes! If you live in the greater Los Angeles area and would prefer to skip shipping transit, you can select the Local Pickup option at checkout, which will automatically set your shipping cost to $0. Once your order is placed, I will reach out to coordinate a secure pickup at my designated Los Angeles pickup location.
Can I see an artwork in person before purchasing?
Absolutely. I showcase new works at local art markets around Los Angeles. Follow my Instagram (@milafejzoart) for announcements on upcoming physical booths where you can view the textures, brushwork, and colors in person.
How is sales tax handled?
- Online Purchases: For orders placed directly here on milafejzo.com, a local sales tax of 10.25% is calculated and added automatically at checkout based on your delivery address.
- In-Person Art Markets: If you purchase original works from me in person at a Los Angeles art market, I offer special flat-rate promotional pricing with all local sales tax completely included in the sticker price for a seamless checkout.
What is your return policy?
Because I am an independent studio, all sales of original artwork are final. If your painting arrives damaged during transit, please let me know right away. Email me directly at milafejzoart@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos of both the damaged artwork and the packaging box it arrived in. I will work directly with you to get it sorted out and processed through carrier insurance.
